Western Digital Releases WD TV Media Player
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – December 10, 2008 – WD® (NYSE: WDC), the world’s leader in external storage solutions, today introduced a simple way for consumers to play their stored digital content on their HDTV in Full-HD 1080p resolution. The WD TV™ Media Player connects to a user’s TV or home theater and plays digital movies, music and photos from WD’s My Passport™ portable drive or other USB mass storage device. The WD TV Media Player is available now at select retailers.


According to research firm IDC, nearly 334 million GB of photos and more than 3.1 billion GB of video will be stored on consumer desktop and laptop computers in 2008. The research firm expects that to increase to 400 million GB and 5.8 billion GB, respectively, by 2010.

World GameMaster Tournament 2008 Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, 31 Oct Friday - Gamers and electronic sports enthusiasts once again geared up for one of Malaysia's most prestige gaming events - the World GameMaster Tournament 2008 Malaysia Final. One of th emost renowned electronic sports tournaments in Malaysia, WGT is back again this year, occurring on a bi-annual basis and second year in running, WGT 2008 Malaysia Final with focus set especially on gaming aims to gather gamers around the country to compete for the title of country game master. This time around with ASUS featuring its new energy saving EPU Motherboard, gamers can game and save more at the same time.


Among the games that were played included, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Half-Life: Counter Strike 1.6, FIFA 08 and Need for Speed: Pro Street. It was held in one of the biggest shopping malls in Kuala Lumper, which is Mid Valley Megamall. Close to 300 gamers took part in this 3-day tournament as they tried their level best to be the GameMaster. Prizes (including cash prizes) worth RM50,000 were up for grabs, so the gamers were pretty serious on their gaming. ASUS also had their very own roadshow going on at the Center Court, Midvalley Megamall where they exhibited their newest technology in computer hardware. Overall, WGT 2008 was a huge success for ASUS and also help realizing pro-gamers in Malaysia. More pictures below:

NVIDIA Announces 2009-2010 Fellowship Programme
SINGAPORE — NOVEMBER 4, 2008 — NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the world leader in visual computing technologies, announced it is accepting applications for the NVIDIA® Fellowship Programme for the 2009-2010 academic year.

MSI Begins Shipping the Wind
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA – July 8, 2008 – MSI Computer, a leading manufacturer of computer hardware products and solutions, has begun shipping all the pre-ordered Wind U100 notebooks.
