A look at the Caller ID:

Now we shall observe the Caller ID unit.

Click the pictures to zoom in.

Looks even better in the dark!

Its actually hard to take a picture of it without the letters looking blurry, because the effect is based on the speed your eye perceives the moving object.

To check out how it REALLY looks
download the video HERE(7.81MB)

The flickering in the video is not really visible from the Naked Eye.
It is just caused by the slower frame rate of the camera.

Things I did not like about this phone:

The clarity of sound on the handset is not up to par with some of the more expensive phones. Range is good but the highest volume seems kind of low. The sound is not terrible, but it is average at best.

Only other thing is there does not seem to be a volume control for the ringer. There should be but I cannot seem to find it in the instructions.

Conclusion:

Overall this phone has more esthetic values than anything. The caller ID is as stunning as the original infoGlobe but is alot quieter and seems built better.

The infoGlobe Plus has all of the typical features you would expect out of a modern cordless phone. I like that it is on the 5.8GHz Frequency so that it will not interfere with my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

The caller ID is easy to use and the functions on the phone are easy to program. I would not mind having one just for the geek factor!

PROS

  • Built in infoGlobe looks great, functions perfect, is quiet

  • 5.8GHz should not interfere with your 2.4GHz equipment

  • Quality construction, looks like it might withstand some dropping

CONS

  • Clarity of sound and Reception dont seem to be as good as some other similarly priced phones
  • No ringer volume control?

If you want to buy one of these. I would personally recommend ThinkGeek. Its under Electronics > Phones > . You also get GEEK points with your purchase so you can get free geeky stuff later on.

ThinkGeek! You'll love this stuff!
