Provided By: Swissbit , produced by Swissbit & Victorinox Retail Price: (64mb $60 - $70) (128mb $80 - $90) Review Date:10/10/04 Written By: Rusty Newton This unique flash memory device swiss army knife was provided to us by Swissbit in partnership with Victorinox. We appreciate products with very original ideas like this one. In The Box: Note: while writing this review, Rusty Newton sustained an injury to his right hand pinky finger. Ice cream and snacks are needed to review any product properly and while closing the freezer door some evil force caused his pinky finger to get snagged on the edge and therefore slammed upon by the heavy freezer door. The injury is only minor but may cause small typing errors. Thank you The SwissMemory USB Victorinox comes in a small grey box with a see through panel for showing off the device. The lid also flips up to get a look at the other things inside. Boxes with flip up lids say "style" The inside of the flipup lid has instructions on how to fold out and detach the USB Flash Drive from the knife base. Once you open the box and get everything out, it contains the following items. This Swiss Army knife has somewhat less tools in it then you would find in most other ones, but hey if your carrying a Flash Drive around on you then the powers of the universe tell me that you probably wont be wandering around in the woods( quick download the pictures of that bear into the flash drive , hes coming this way! No its okay! It has a knife too! *unfolding the tiny one inch knife* )
No but seriously it has the perfect tools on it. Working at a networkingcommunications company(my primary job) I am always in need of several things, A PEN which everyone steals, Scissors or a knife to open things, cut vinyl tape, snip wires and a flash drive to move files around quickly from computer to computer.
Heres all the tools unfolded. The bottom picture is the Pen. You can unfold them all at once, i just forgot ;] Remember, Click to enlarge the photo!
 The Ballpoint Pen!
Awesome! I can clip my toenails then carve little statues out of them, Take pictures of the statues while illuminating them with the superbright LED for a neat little effect and then download the pictures onto the flash drive while I file my toenails! The pen is actually useful and writes well! A refreshing change from those stock Bic pens at the bank that never write unless you dip them in a bucket of sulfuric acid first. You can unfold the fingernail file tool and it rests on your hand so that you can write with the pen side easier! The scissors are typical tiny scissors you can cut small paper and things but dont try to cut the door off a car to rescue someone. The file,Blade, and scissors are strong and made of the highest quality stainless steel. On the next page we will take a look at the LED,Included software thats on the USB drive and the USB drive itself.
